Alabama basic speed law provides that you must never drive a vehicle at a speed that is faster than reasonable under existing conditions.

Your Condition:
> Fatigue, Anger, etc.
> Eye Sight

5. What might be a reasonable speed at one time may not be reasonable at another time because of conditions.

Statutory limits apply unless you see a regulatory sign expressing the set speed limit.

7. 30 M.P.H. in an urban district.

8. 35 M.P.H. on an unpaved road.

9. 45 M.P.H. on a county paved road.

10. 55 M.P.H. in other locations.

11. 65 M.P.H. where posted.

12. 70 M.P.H. posted on interstate.

13. Minimum speed limits may also be set on some road ways.
