Training for professionals working with Aboriginal families in facilitating the Aboriginal Bringing Up Great Kids Program This practical one day seminar provides participants with the opportunity to become familiar with the material developed by Aboriginal workers across Australia. Participants must have completed the foundation BUGK training. Aims: By the end of the seminar participants will: Be familiar and comfortable with the material Be confident in using the material with families in a group situation Have started the process of adapting the material to meet the needs of the families they work with Be able to effectively implement the program and its activities Seminar Cost: $50.00 please pay to Account name: Child Care Services Taree and Districts, BSP Acc. Morning tea and lunch provided. Please note: We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to attend this training in order to reflect the region in which the program will be run. Non-Aboriginal people (who are working with ASTI families) can train to co-facilitate with an ASTI facilitator. I understand that my registration will not be processed until payment is received. In the event that payment is not received at least 7 working days prior to the advertised workshop or seminar date, I accept that I will not be eligible to attend. I understand that these terms and conditions can only be varied if negotiated directly with the Australian Childhood Foundation staff and I receive confirmation of alternative arrangements being made. Terms & Conditions: The Australian Childhood Foundation requires full payment of fees for all workshops and seminars to be made seven (7) days prior to the advertised workshop or seminar date unless otherwise negotiated. The Foundation will not register your attendance until payment of the workshop or seminar fees has been made in full. In the event that payment is not received at least 7 working days prior to the advertised workshop or seminar date, you will not be eligible to attend. The Australian Childhood Foundation reserves the right to cancel any workshop or seminar if there are insufficient registrations within ten (10) days prior to the seminar date. The Australian Childhood Foundation may also substitute the scheduled workshop or seminar speaker at any time. If the Australian Childhood Foundation is required to cancel a workshop or seminar for whatever reason, all Registered Participants will be notified prior to the scheduled workshop or seminar date and, at the option of the Registered Participant; (a) the Registered Participant will receive a full refund; or (b) the Registered Participant may elect to transfer his or her registration to another workshop or seminar. In this case, the Registered Participant must notify the Australian Childhood Foundation of the workshop or seminar that they would like to attend within three (3) days of the scheduled workshop or seminar date. A Registered Participant must notify the Australian Childhood Foundation in writing or by telephone if they wish to cancel their attendance at a workshop or seminar. Further, if a Registered Participant does not provide written or telephone confirmation to the Australian Childhood Foundation of their cancellation more than fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled workshop or seminar, their fee will not be refunded and they may not transfer their registration into another workshop or seminar. If a Registered Participant wishes to cancel their registration for a scheduled workshop or seminar more than fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled workshop or seminar, the Registered Participant may at his or her option; (a) transfer the registration to another workshop or seminar, without any fee or penalty; or (b) cancel their registration and receive a refund less a $20 administration fee. All cancellations initiated by Registered Participants, except as described above will incur a $20 administration fee. If the cost of a workshop or seminar is less than $20, the Registered Participant will forfeit this sum upon cancellation.
