A comma is used between coordinate adjectives not linked by a coordinating conjunction.

Pay close attention to “tone” and “narration”.
TONE- how the author feels about the subject of the writing. Examine diction-the authors word choice.
NARRATION- Who is the speaker and how do we know? What is the relationship between narrator and subject? How do we know?

10. Discuss the poem as a class. What is symbolism?
Symbolism- when something stands for something else.
Go back and examine the poem again, looking for symbolism.

Examine all members answers and discuss thought process on how each member arrived at a particular answer.
As a group, you must determine the correct answer and provide a justification of why it is the correct answer.
Teach the class the correct answer and your group’s thought process on how you arrived at that answer.
