“A toy for generating “word clouds” from text.”  
Wordles- a great technique for showing the emphasis in an article or speech. You copy and paste text or link to a blog’s URL. The most frequently used words show up the largest. A great way to analyze campaign speeches.

Web pages in minutes with minimal skills needed.
You can make a wiki using the Basic Directions link. I recommend
Wikispaces. It seems to have better graphic capabilities, and comments don’t show unless you click on them.
All educational wikis should be private or by invitation only, never
public. All of the wikis I listed have educational wikis as a separate
option. The three I listed are free.

17. Evidence-based Practice
The TUSD Assessment Wiki
A place to gather information and organize data
for evidence based practice.
The plan this year is to create an online pre and post-test based on the Trails model for 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 9th grades.
We have already discussed this with Accountability and Research. If we can get them the test questions they can help us create the test.
The link to Trails, a free assessment, is on the wiki.
We need a PD day in August to solicit questions, and get the committee working on the tests.

The Other Cool Tools page is a place that we can start collecting tools/products that we can share with teachers and students.
