6 State Flag Michigan’s current flag was the third state flag and it was adopted by Public Act 209 in 1911. This flag displays Michigan’s Coat of Arms: E Pluribus Unum (For many, one), Tuebor (I will defend), and If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you. The blue of the flag, along with the moose , elk and blue shield represent TUEBOR, “I will defend.” The eagle symbolizes E Pluribus Unum, “For many, one.”
