3 STRUCTURE, PHILOSOPHY, & TRYOUT PROCESS

4 MISSION of ZYSA To allow all to develop, grow and excel as a player and as a person through the pursuit of excellence at all levels of youth soccer.

5 ZYSA CULTURE & IDENTITY
ZYSA strives to be a collective, humble, professional organization that plays an attractive style of soccer.  Our players will be free to think and make mistakes, technically sound, versatile, confident, and creative in playing both sides of the ball.  Our teams will compete with grit, understanding, and industriousness.  We will foster an environment that produces an intrinsic desire to always want to compete to the best of ability while having fun as part of a team in best representing ZYSA.

6 PHILOSOPHY of ZYSA ZYSA’s philosophy is centered upon a player’s long-term development that is focused on the technical, tactical, psychological, and physical elements of soccer. ZYSA is committed to providing appropriate, challenging, and positive development opportunities for all players and safe, fun, and family-friendly experiences for players and families. From the introduction to soccer in Rec, to the technically focused development in the Academy, to the tactical development of Travel programs; the ZYSA player development curriculum is based upon each phase of player development progressing from season to season. ZYSA believes the commitment and focus on long-term player development is the key to building the skills and confidence allowing players to unlock their full soccer potential.

Rec teams compete in-house at ZYSA within an eight game schedule. RECREATIONAL TRAVEL SOCCER at ZYSA Our Rec+ program at ZYSA is open to U11 – U12 boys, and U13+ boys and girls. There are co-ed teams within our Rec+ platform. Teams could train up to twice each week (at ZYSA fields). All sessions are an hour in length. 13 HOW TO JOIN RECREATIONAL & REC TRAVEL SOCCER
There is no evaluation / tryout for our Rec or Rec Travel programming. If interested, please visit our REC SOCCER or REC TRAVEL tabs on our club website to be directed to the registration page. Teams are filled on a first come, first serve basis (and then we move to a wait list with registrations). Reserve your roster spot today!

14 U8 PATHWAY PROGRAM To provide a pathway for our u8 (2010 birth year) players from Rec soccer, by advancing the coaching process and game play in a professional environment, to prepare our young soccer stars for the next stage of development…the Travel Academy at u9. To help teach players and parents about travel soccer and values of the game at an early age.  This program replaces the u8 Academy level.  Players who play in the Pathway Program will not play in the Rec program. Pathway Program players will train twice each week (for 60M each session). Players will play in-house games on Friday evenings through each season (players will be mixed up each time). The Pathway Program players will compete in Socctoberfest (tourney) in the Fall season, and the Indiana Memorial Cup (tourney) in the Spring season.

15 HOW TO JOIN THE U8 PATHWAY PROGRAM
There is an evaluation / tryout for our Pathway Program. All interested players should pre-register through our website prior to the evaluation date. To register, click the PATHWAY TRYOUT (8u) page under the TRYOUTS tab on our website. Evaluation dates for the Pathway Program are: Tuesday May 23 & Wednesday May 24, 5:30-7P both nights.

16 U9 & U10 ACADEMY TRAVEL Our Youth Travel Academy (u9 – u10) will prepare our young soccer stars for the next stage of development…the Junior Travel Academy at u11 through professional coaching and implementation of age group specific curriculum that will create a sound foundational base for each player. To help teach players and parents about travel soccer and values of the game at an early age. Players will train twice each week (for 60M each session). Players will play in a local academy league that will involve some light travel on the weekends. The Youth Travel Academy will compete in Socctoberfest (tourney) in the Fall season, and the Indiana Memorial Cup (tourney) in the Spring season.

17 U11 – U14 BOY’S & GIRLS JUNIOR TRAVEL
Our Junior Travel Academy is perfect for those players that are wanting to make a greater commitment to the game of soccer. Ranging from highly competitive teams to those easing into the more competitive travel side, we can provide an engaging and appropriate learning and growth environment for all players interested in competing at this level. Typically at our U11 – U12 ages, we field three teams in each age group. In the U13 – U14 ages, we typically field two teams in each age group. All of our Junior Travel Academy teams train three times each week in the Fall and Spring seasons. The players train twice through the winter months. League and event placement is determined by Coach Ian (Boy’s DOC) or Coach Jonathan (Girl’s DOC) as applicable to each team. Our Green teams (formerly Select) typically involve more extensive state-wide and regional travel. Our White teams tend to include state-wide travel, with our Black and Silver teams rarely traveling beyond central Indiana.

18 U15 – U19 BOY’S & GIRL’S SENIOR TRAVEL
Our Senior Travel Academy is perfect for those players that are wanting to compete between their high school team seasons. In addition to player and team development, our approach with our older players is to best prepare the players to earn impact roles with their high school teams as well as inform and assist on the college recruitment process (for those that aspire to compete collegiately). We can provide an engaging and appropriate learning and growth environment for all players interested in competing at this level. Typically at our U15 – U16 ages we field two teams in each age group. Our U17 and older teams typically have one roster for each age group. Players begin training twice each week through the winter months, starting late October (at end of the fall high school season). All of our Senior Travel Academy teams train three times each week in the Spring season. League and event placement is determined by Coach Ian (Boy’s DOC) or Coach Jonathan (Girl’s DOC) as applicable to each team. Our Green teams (formerly Select) typically involve more extensive state-wide and regional travel. Our White teams tend to include state-wide travel.

19 FALL HIGH SCHOOL ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM
Our girl's Fall HS Alternative Program is OPEN to ZYSA and non-ZYSA players with a 2003 and older birth year (non-ZYSA players will be released back to their primary team / club in October).  The group will train twice each week through the fall season.  Training will start mid-August and end early October (with all rostered players then being released to primary club teams). We will be applying to participate in the Midwest Fall Soccer League (MFSL), hosted by Ohio Elite.  This is a competitive, self-schedule league that will consist of 6-8 matches through the fall season.  The OP Invite is a likely event weekend opportunity to compete with some of our out of state opponents.

20 HOW TO JOIN THE FALL HS ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM
There is no evaluation / tryout for this team.  Everyone that is wanting to compete, learn, and develop this fall prior to joining primary club team roster in October (at the end of the high school season) will have the opportunity to do so. Rosters will be established late August after the pool of players has had time to train with each other. All interested players should plan to register by early June for this program offering. Online registration can be found by clicking the GIRLS HS ALTERNATIVE page under the TRYOUTS tab on our website.
