2 Summary of Lots Early intervention programme for 15-18 yrs olds (NEET)
Structured progression into & in sustainable employment with enhanced Information, advice and guidance through the National Careers Service with particular focus on disadvantaged / priority groups Skills provision relating to removing the barriers some people face when entering employment (Skills for Employment) Innovative programme to support marginalised groups to help bring them towards economic activity and address social exclusion (Building Better Opportunities)

Programme to support year old GM residents progress, enter and sustain into employment or learning Increase access to advanced (higher level) skills for the most disadvantaged Skills support activities to start and grow a business Social enterprise to adapt to the needs of GM (Social Innovation Driver)

Prime: The Manchester Growth Company Bolton Council end to end Provider in Bolton Supply Chain: Bolton at Home, Bolton College, Groundwork and i2i Total potential programme value £23m - ESF and Local Growth Fund Outcomes - Accredited Training, Non-Accredited Training, Work Placements, Jobs, Apprenticeships, Self-employment, or Further Skills Training Referral line:

5 Target Group – Skills for Employment
Aged 19+ (or 18+ if in receipt of out-of-work benefits), and 6 months unemployed Eligible for ESF & SFA Funding, and Able to access support in GM LA areas, and Are unemployed (or inactive), and Have a skills need that is a barrier to employment Can be on any other programme e.g. Work Programme and Nu Traxx, provided SfE can add value

6 Building Better Opportunities
Innovative programme for marginalised groups to help bring them to and support them to be more socially included £9.6m in GM over 5 years, Big Lottery Key worker model with specialist support Bolton will be a hub covering Wigan as well Eligibility: marginalised groups e.g. non-English speakers, Roma, offenders, homeless and others (must have the right to work in the UK; cannot already be in work) Start end of summer 16

Social Enterprise support – On hold NEETs – waiting for announcement Careers Advice ? In work training and progression ?
