1 Lesson 4 – Legacy Values from the Bible (1)

2 Introduction What makes a good legacy? Saving the whales?
The Bible highlights many legacy values that we can adopt for our own

3 1. Integrity 2 Corinthians 8:21
Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. Nothing quite as good as honesty. Integrity comes from word, whole or undivided Introduction

4 2. Faith Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. What is the most important thing you can do? Can your family see Chist in your life? Introduction 1. Integrity

5 3. Focus on Heaven Matthew 6:20-21
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. There are many good things a person can strive for. Above all else, is your entire life focused on heaven? Introduction 1. Integrity 2. Faith

6 4. Walking with the Lord 1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Nothing beats waking up rejoicing because we acknowledge that the day was given to us by God no matter what the day has in store for us and the challenges we will face. Throughout the day, God is with us, protecting us and prospering us in each and every moment. We therefore look out for ways to touch lives and glorify His name. Because the meek shall inherit the earth, the day passes quickly as we shine our light in a beautiful and friendly world so that God is seen in our lives. When day is done, we count our blessings and praise God for His providence and care, longing to be with Him and for His soon return. Introduction 1. Integrity 2. Faith 3. Focus on Heaven

7 Discussion Questions Which one of these factors is the most important? Why? What is the difference between integrity and faith?
