4. Understanding children & young people with ASD
One hour training to enable participants to:
See the world through the eyes of a child with ASD
Be able to describe the features of ASD
Be aware of key challenges for children with ASD

5. Understanding and supporting children &young people with ASD
Half day training to enable participants to:
See the world through the eyes of a child with ASD
Be able to describe the features of ASD and be aware of key challenges for children with ASD
Understand why and how to support a child by:
Saying less
Slowing down
Being visual
Being predictable

6. Mental health in children & young people with asd
Half day training to enable participants to:
Recognise the way mental health problem develop and present in children and adolescents with ASD, focusing on anxiety, depression and OCD
Identify ways to support young people and families by:
Managing risk
Raising your concern with young people and parents
Developing a tool kit with young people to help them to manage their emotions
