2 We are going to be learning about the 5 types of Regular Plural Nouns.

3 Regular Plural Nouns 1. Add s to most nouns
For most nouns, simply add an s to the singular noun. Examples: dog-dogs house-houses bicycle- bicycles stamp-

4 2. Add es to nouns ending in s, x, ch, sh, or z.

4. Drop the y and add ies For nouns that end in a consonant followed by a Y, drop the Y and add es. penny-pennies sky-skies butterfly-butterflies city-cities bully-

7 Add s to words ending in a vowel + y
For nouns ending in “y” with a vowel immediately before the “y,” just add “s.” valley-valleys monkey-monkeys boy-boys stray-
