What you need to have done before Nov 7th
ALL ATHLETES must have a current physical on file in your school’s health office.
ALL WINTER ATHLETES must submit a fully completed Sports Clearance Form to your school’s health office signed and dated ASAP

4. Practice schedule Dry land will be every week day. START: 3:30
END: 5:00
Dry land will always end on time unless we have effort issues.
No dry land on holiday vacations or weekends.

5. Dry Land practices will be hard
We only have approx. 4 weeks to get in shape for our season. So all practices will be tough ……. BE PREPARED.

6. Proper attire for practice
Be prepared to be inside or outside everyday!
Outside: Winter Hat, sweatpants, sweatshirt, running shoes.
Inside: shorts, T-shirt, running shoes
**** MUST HAVE A WATER BOTTLE EVERYDAY ****

7. Absence from practice
If you are going to be absent from practice we need to know why!
If you come late bring a pass from where ever you were.
This needs to be communicated by your parents though /phone call or text.
Large team and communication is very important

8. School and skiing You are a student first and an athlete second.
When you miss school due to skiing, HS or Easterns, you MUST communicate with your teachers!
Make a plan with them about when you will make up missed work.
If you need help talking to a teacher, help with study skills, or anything to do with school please talk with a coach. We are here to help.

9. Bus from Barker/Sutherland /Calkins

Remember if you are driving yourself practice starts at 3: Do not be late.

10. On Snow Practices Practice will be at Bristol Mtn
Mondays and Wednesdays
Bus leaves the south side of Mendon at 3:30 – we will be home around 7:30 – 8
If you are an Easterns skier you need to make 1 practice a week with the HS team. For HH skiers that will be Monday for Bristol skiers you will need to communicate with the coaches what day you are coming.

When you have questions go to the website FIRST. All of our training info/race info can be found there.
We will also post all of the race results on there as well.

12. Twitter You all need to follow us on TWITTER!

Important updates will be tweeted throughout the year.
No we will not follow you back and we don’t care about your ratings. Sorry.

13. Number of races for sectionals
We only have 10 races this year.
You need to have 6 starts within those 10 races to be eligible for sectionals.
There are no weekend races.
The race schedule is posted on our website. Please look at your Easterns schedule and let us know what races you will not be able to attend.
Due to unpredictable winter weather plan on making at least 7 races.

14. Cuts
Depending on the number of athletes that we have there may have to be cuts.
If cuts have to be made they will not be made until we have our second on snow practice.
Cuts will be based on a combination of effort in our dry land practices and our first two on snow practices.
