13 The AgroFood Chain Master in Toulouse Innovation and sustainability
INTERDISCIPLINARITY : A CHALLENGE FOR MANAGING SCIENCE An innovative and multidisciplinary program 9 Partner institutions Beyond the scientific fields of the domain, the curriculum also focuses on the issues of sustainable development: social, economic, environmental aspects. Teaching methods designed to develop communication skills and autonomy, provide tools for decision-making, equip graduates for working in international settings (examples: M1: “Global seminars with other classes from USA, Denmark, Austria”; M2 “How to write a press release?” )

14 The AgroFood Chain Master in Toulouse Innovation and sustainability
TAUGHT IN ENGLISH Training based on three pillars complemented by integrative Tools Train students to analyse complex issues integrating different fields. Case studies AGRONOMY ECOLOGY ECONOMY Genetics Sociology Molecular Biology, Biotechnologies Management Microbiology Food Safety Environment Green Chemistry Statistics Geomatics

15 Originality of the M2 internship
Interdisciplinary subjects are encouraged Examples of Subjects : What could be the economic impact at a national level of another E. coli outbreak? (food safety & economics) Is it possible to valorize tomato canning by-products by using the skin wax in food packaging? (agrogenomics & green chemistry)
