6. CSC Safeguarding Principles
One of our main responsibilities is the protection of children and staff in our care. We work to ensure that all children and staff feel that they work and learn in a secure and caring environment, free from any kind of abuse or neglect.
We: -
Ensure we practice safe recruitment in checking the suitability of staff, tutors and volunteers to work with children.
Establish a safe environment in which children can learn and develop.

7. Reporting concerns
All CSC staff, tutors, volunteers or trustees have a duty to report their concerns as soon as possible to CSC’s Head of Safeguarding. It is important that members of staff should not investigate or follow up suspicions of child abuse themselves. CSC will notify the Headteacher of the school and/or the school’s responsible person.
