Assessments- All This is where you can search from all of the assessments that have been created. Select the subject, core (standard), class (grade), standard (individual standards) You can also search for an assessment by keywords The most used and peer reviewed assessments tend to be better. Once you find an assessment that you like you can add to tracker, bookmark it or clone it.

Assessments- How to add an assessment that you created
Click on the assessment tab on the green bar Click on the orange add assessment button Fill in the appropriate information Click the orange create assessment button If you are uploading copyrighted information, make sure that you mark it as private. This will only allow you to see or use the assessment.

Assessments- How to create an assessment using the item bank
Follow the first three steps from the previous slide, select Certica Item Bank from the assessment source. Make sure that multi-standard is selected from the standard section if you will have more than one standard. Select the standard and the number of questions that you want. You can review any of the questions by clicking on the green numbers. You can drag and drop the question to the right column DOK= Depth of knowledge Scoring: each standard will have its own level of mastery and a level of near mastery.

How to create a Mixed Question Assessment
Click on Assessments, then click Add Assessment. Select the assessment type and subject. Select the core, class and standard. Add the title, optional description, and select the assessment source: “upload File”. Select Mixed for the Question Type and enter the number of questions.

How to create a Mixed Question Assessment
Select the question type, correct answer, and number of points for each question. Note: If you choose Rubric Criteria, you will also need to indicate the possible points or ratings for that question. Can be used for anything that you would grade with a rubric. If you choose Bubble Sheet Rubric Scoring, you’ll need to assign points to each answer choice. This can be used when there is more than one correct answer. Enter your Mastery cut scores, then click Create Assessment.

Using the Performance Grader
Go to the Mastery Connect Teacher App and log in with your Mastery Connect login information. Enter the Test ID from your tracker for the assessment you want to grade. This will allow you to enter the answers for each student. You could use this to analyze essays, reading fluency, letter/word/number identification, and fact fluency. You also have the ability to use the Gradecam to scan the bubble sheets from the app.

Using the Web Grader Go to your tracker and click on the standard of the assessment you want to grade. Hover over the title of the Assessment and select Performance Grader. You won’t need to log in or enter the Test ID when you access the Grader from your tracker. In Performance Grader, you’ll see a view of your students and the rubric criteria or test document. Select the student, then enter the answer or points for each question, then click on Submit. If you select “scan with grade cam, you can scan the bubble sheet and answers will be submitted. The assessment data and scores will be automatically saved in your tracker.

How to deliver an assessment on a computer
Give your students the Test ID number. To find the Test ID number, go to your tracker, hover over the standard that the assessment is in, and then click on Assess. Click on the button above the title bar to see the Assessment ID.

You can change the Test ID to limit student access to the assessment by clicking Generate new Test ID. You can also change the amount of time before the ID expires. For ACPSD benchmarks, select one month. This will allow your test ID not to expire before the testing window runs out.

Make sure that your students know their Student ID number. Student ID numbers can be found next to students’ names on your trackers.

Students will go to: nect.com/ Have your students enter the Test ID and their Student ID into the box and click next.

Students can take the assessment in a single sitting, or they can use the pause button to save their progress and come back to it later. Answers will be automatically saved every few seconds. Note: Both uploaded and item bank assessments can be taken using the Mastery Connect Student App. An item bank assessment is shown below.

After your students are finished, they will click on Submit Answers and immediately see their results. Scores are automatically entered into your tracker.

Students will open the Mastery Connect student app on the iPad. Enter the Test ID number Enter their Student ID number The test will appear on the left and the answer bubbles on the right. Click finished and their score will appear.

How to scan from the Mastery Connect Website
Click on the tracker Find the assessment Hover over the standard that the assessment is in, then click on Assess from the drop down. Hover over the assessment name and click scan scores. The camera in the top right of the screen will activate. Click on the person icon to make the screen bigger The question mark will bring you directly to the help section using the Gradecam.

Benchmarks Click on the link in your , or navigate in your tracker and find the benchmark assessment. You will need to push out the assessment for each class and each benchmark. You may also printing out the assessment, click on View, then click on Assessment, then choose Print.

Click on the green tracker tab at the top Click on the tracker that you want to look at Click on the standard Put the mouse on the name of the assessment Scroll down to reports

Here you can look at the following: Item analysis (student answers per each question) Student mastery (Student levels of mastery per class) Tracker comparison (Compares your trackers’ mastery level) Teacher comparison (compares your class with any teacher in the school that has taken the same test).

Click on the green tracker tab at the top Click on the tracker that you want to look at Click on the standard Click on the name of the assessment (this will show you all of the standards of the assessment). Put the mouse on the orange icon with white lines Scroll down to reports

How to view student progress reports in your trackers
Click on Trackers, then select your tracker. Click on a student’s name in your tracker to view that student’s progress report.

In the Student Progress Report, you can view an overall report of the student’s mastery of standards as well as each standard that has been assessed.

In the circle graph, you will see the percentage in mastery, of the standards that have been assessed. You can also see the percentage in near mastery or remediation, and the percentage of standards that have not been scored yet.

You can print the report, view reports, parents, and make notes. View reports Will show two circle graphs showing all standards and standards with scores. View reports -> Progress timeline shows the progress over the whole school year.

How to print bubble sheets
Click on trackers on the green bar Click print bubble sheets on the left side. Blank IDs Select the length of the student IDs and the number of questions. Completed IDs Select “include Student IDs from Student trackers and select the tracker (s) you would like. Select the number of bubbles that you want. You can select a number from 10 to If you are giving a test with 15 questions then select 20 from the drop down menu. You do not have to use all of the bubbles on the scan sheet. Click the orange print bubble sheets to either print or download. If you want to print on a ½ sheet of paper it is easier to download and alter the print settings.
