4 Supplies notebooks, pencil, poster board, magazines, scissors, glue sticks

5 Engage What is a living organism? What is a nonliving object?
Grab your notebooks, a pencil, and Living or Nonliving worksheet Go outside and find examples of living and nonliving things!

6 Vocabulary Living organisms - An individual form of life, such as a plant, animal, bacterium, protist, or fungus; a body made up of organs, organelles, or other parts that work together to carry on the various processes of life.

7 Vocabulary Nonliving objects- Dead or not living; inanimate body or object

9 Explore Each student will receive a card and they must decide if the object on their card is living or nonliving Go to the designated side of the room depending on if you are a living or nonliving thing

One side will be living things and the other will be nonliving things Label each side
