District Level, Block Level and Gram Panchyat Level Workshops Organized Trained DRG were engaged for triggering and follow up Village Level Planning Prepared and Approved at Gram Panchyat Level Nigarani Smaitis of natural leaders were constituted In Village Level Planning People from All Religions , Castes, Age Groups, and Genders Took Active Part Villagers were engaged in the programme in their Ownership in villages and they ensured that village became ODF. Elected Representatives like MP, MLAs Zilla Parmukh, Pradhans, sarpanches and ward panches played active role in the mission, which make it successful. 4/23/2018

15 Some Sarpanches took part as lead role in the concerned blocks and spread out the messages.
Gram panchayat wise Gaurav Yatras were organized which encouraged other panchayats to take part in the race to become ODF panchayat. In Gaurav Yatras, High ranked officers and politicians took part, which have given high publicity in media. In Gaurav Yatras sarpanchas of other panchayts were also invited for motivation. 4/23/2018

Organizing inter-block visit programme by Sarpanches. Motivation by local leaders An army of motivators prepared like : Swachhta Preraks , NGOs, Swachta Doots, ASHA, AWW 4/23/2018

17 Who Actually Constructed The Toilets ? Transparency
Individual beneficiaries constructed their toilets Sanction of toilets were displayed on panchayat bhawan Initially incentive payment by A/c Payee Cheques Incentive are transferring directly in the accounts of beneficiaries at block level. 4/23/2018

18 Innovations in implementation
Creation of Logo for SBM in Churu branded as “CHOKHO CHURU” , which made an appeal amongst masses. Sponsored to poor and non-eligible people by donors. Benefitted persons from small and marginal farmers category on the basis of land record data considering their notional share. 4/23/2018

19 Systems improvement in monitoring and evaluation
Inter block verification On spot verification by district officials Verification through block level officers Direct payment in the account of beneficiaries to make system corruption free Use of whatsapp for evaluation and sharing information for direction Use of facebook to popularising the campaign and for better response / feedback School platforms were also used to spread out the message among teachers, students and their parents and also reviewed feedback from schools 4/23/2018

20 Monitoring of the campaign at district level
Display board placed at Collector office, block level offce and gram panchayat office to motivate public by leveraging pride of communities and generating competition.

21 Three Significant Ideas that Helped the District Achieve Outcomes
Active participation of public representative and PRIs Motivate villagers for construction for toilets to be pride and ashamed free. Giving ownership to villagers 4/23/2018

Apart from construction of toilets, general sanitation condition needs to be improved in rural areas Provisional personal incentive to public representative and officials SBM subject may be included in School curriculum Focused should be on behavior change 4/23/2018
