2. Anthropometrics
Anthropometrics is all about measurements of the human body. Designers need this information to produce products that are ergonomic. If we did not have this data everything we used would not be the correct size and shape.
Task: Watch at least one of these films, the first one shows how you can take body measurements to design the inside of a car.

3. To summarise
Ergonomics is about the relationship between the human and the product. Is the product easy to use and comfortable? Is it ergonomic?
Anthropometrics is the science of using body measurements to make a product feel comfortable and easy to use.
Task: Design a new product that you don’t think is ergonomic using anthropometric data.
