3. Robert Boyle was an Irish philosopher, chemist, and inventor
Robert Boyle was an Irish philosopher, chemist, and inventor. He is best knows today for Boyles Law, which describes the opposite relationship between the absolute pressure and volume of a gas, if the temperature is kept the same in a closed system. He also completed the construction of their famous air pump and used it to study pneumatics with the help of Robert Hooke, who was an inventor as well.

The Scientific Revolution was the beginning of modern science during the 1600’s. Some other advancements were mathematics, physics, astronomy, biology (human anatomy too) and chemistry. This revolution transformed views of society and nature. It was caused by the increase in wealth from Europe.
