3 Bus Inspected by PCSD Mechanics at PCSD Transportation Garage before leaving for NYC
Arrive at SHS at 6:00 am in Lomb Parking Lot – Have student go directly to door adjacent to auditorium Bus leaves at 6:30 am

4 All Meds confirmed with nurse
Will be carried by student unless you would prefer Mrs. Winghart to carry (some meds required to be carried by Mrs. Winghart) First aid kit on hand with Mrs. Winghart Alkasensor brought on trip Bring a hand-held Purell or the like No “No Dose” No “Sleeping Pills” (Excedrin PM, etc.) No Energy Drinks of any make or brand

5 PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR STUDENT BRINGS THEIR SHS STUDENT ID WITH THEM.
High Security at NYC venues Just like the airport– don’t carry around those items - leave them on the bus Metal Detectors Purses Checked PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR STUDENT BRINGS THEIR SHS STUDENT ID WITH THEM. Students Need To Bring Cell Phones with the Chargers Students will program all chaperone telephone numbers in their cells Any media brought on trip via any medium of transmission must be PG-13 or less

6 Dress Code Dress Code during Trade Show:
As established by student company Dress Code off hours: Jeans, sneakers – comfortable wear Light jacket with hood in case of rain

7 Hotel Security personnel on floor at hotel (closed circuit also on each floor hall and all doors) Doors will be taped at curfew Curfew will be set by chaperones dependent upon time of arrival at hotel Rooms checked by all Chaperones at curfew No Refrigerator/Bar Amenities Restricted by Hotel No Adult Channels No Outbound Long Distance Calls

8 Bring snacks for bus ride down (make sure they are pre-wrapped, not bulk)
No Glass containers Only plastic with screw caps Spending Money Approx. $60 to cover lunches & thruway dinners The rest is up to you and what you would like your child to have for spending money

9 Consequences of bad behavior:
Parent/police notified (parents pay return trip expense) 5-day out-of-school suspension No out-of-town trips for remainder of time at SHS

10 SAFETY IN NYC DO NOT WALK ALONG THE CURB! THE BUSES AND TAXIS DO NOT KNOW YOU AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU – YOU ARE ONLY IN THE WAY OF THEM MAKING MONEY! OBEY THE CROSS WALK SIGNS!

11 Student Public Transportation Use
There is NONE! You are NOT to utilize NYC cabs, buses, subway, etc. You are to utilize your feet in the area designated by our tour guide and your group chaperone You are to stay with your buddy(ies) at all times. If you get separated – stay put – and dial your group chaperone. They will come and get you. Do not try to “find your way alone” anywhere. Stay put, dial your group chaperone – they will come and get you!

12 Return trip: Parents called when we are on the west side of Syracuse to give heads up as to our arrival time or if we are running late
