4 Advantages of using energizers in your classroom
Energizers play an important part of teaching in school and especially in “Cooperative Learning”: Opportunity to start learning and to refresh after a cooperative lesson Useful in giving a structure to a usual day of learning (ritual, break etc.) Very supportive in “doing things with a smile on your face”

5 Handy in creating a comfortable learning atmosphere because achievement and success is not the main goal Support your self-awareness and therefore improve your cognitive performances since your body acts in an according way Make new links of knowledge possible since more channels of perception (sound, touch, speech, social world) are stimulated Create positive emotions to install a perfect setting in your classroom

6 Basic examples of energizers
If you and your pupils like to sing – sing as often as possible Sing while the class is standing and everyone has enough room to move the body Young pupils enjoy moving themselves according to the words and the rhythm of a song The exercises also help them to remember the song

7 Spoken rhymes combined with exercises like clapping hands and other movements;
Short games that require concentration. Especially games during that talking is prohibited; Relaxing exercises in combination with stories, rhymes and imaginations
