35 General Characteristics of White Cast Irons
There are also called as low- melting bearing alloys.lead based or tin based babbits containing antimony are most popular form this group. Lead based : 1-10%Sn, %Sb, % Cu,1-1.7% Cd,1.0% As and balance Pb. Tin based : upto 10%Pb, 5- 12%Sb,3-5%Cu,0.1%As.
