Market segmentation; dividing a market into smaller groups of buyers distinct needs, characteristics, or behavior who might require separate products or marketing mixes.

Target Marketing; the process of evaluating each market segment’s attractiveness and selecting one or more segments to enter.

Accessible; the segments can be effectively reached and served. Differentiable; the segments are conceptually distinguishable and respond differently to different marketing mix elements and programs. Actionable; effective program can be formulated for attracting and serving the segments.
