5 Strategic Roads: A27 2015 – 2020 Roads Investment Strategy identified £75m towards east of Lewes Consultation by Highways England on smaller scale improvements in late 2017 A27 Reference Group wants to see a more comprehensive solution – continue to develop the case

7 Year Highways Infrastructure Services Contract - Joint Venture Costain Ch2m Social value requirement to invest in local communities Community Match initiative part of Community Highways element of contract £250,000 allocated in 2017/18 to match fund and support the implementation of successful Community Match schemes

12 DfT Access Fund Successful bid to DfT Access Fund - £1.2m over three years (2017/18 to 2019/20) Programme will deliver cycling and walking initiatives which:  improve access to jobs, skills, training and education, supports the growth of the economy by boosting levels of cycling and walking, Integrated alongside existing County Council work programmes focused on: employment and skills, workforce development and public health led community development projects.
