2 What is the Collaborative Nursing Education Continuum Model (CNECM)?
SSU’s ADN to BSN program is called the POST- LICENSURE BSN PROGRAM. The CNECM is a track in the Post-Licensure Program The CNECM is an “early start” to Upper Division Nursing coursework toward the BSN.   Current first semester-first year ADN students enrolled at CNECM partners apply while in ADN programs

3 Who is eligible for admission to the CNECM Program?
Current first semester-first year ADN students enrolled at CNECM partners may apply while in ADN programs with a May graduation date CNECM partners are ADN programs in Santa Rosa Junior College, College of Marin, Napa Valley College, Solano Community College, and Mendocino College.  Applicants must be currently in good standing in their respective ADN programs Students enrolled in the second, third or fourth semester of their ADN program in fall are not eligible for the CNECM program.

4 CNECM Program Timeline
1st Summer units 2nd Summer - 4 units Spring graduate w/ADN and pass NCLEX Fall – 11 units Spring - 11 units May – graduate with BSN!

5 What if I already have a Bachelors in another field?
Second Bachelors students do not have to take the 6 units of upper division GE, however the CSU has a higher tuition cost for Post Baccalaureate once matriculated (fall enrollment) 1st Summer units 2nd Summer - 4 units Spring graduate w/ADN and pass NCLEX Fall – 11 units 8 units Spring - 11 units 8 units

6 Application Information for Summer CNECM Admission
Application period is early 2018 Link to online application will be posted on SSU Nursing Homepage Start in 1st Summer after year one of your ADN program Finish in one year after ADN graduation with your BSN

7 Admission is considered for current ADN students who have:
completed all SSU GE transfer requirements listed on your college’s ADN-BSN roadmap have only 24 units of Upper Division Nursing and 6 units of Upper Division GE remaining to complete for the BSN degree are in good standing in their ADN program (Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Marin, or Mendocino). Meet both Sonoma State University and Nursing Department Admission Criteria  

8 Are the classes online? All courses (except the clinical portion of N412) are online with the possibility of scheduled mandatory on campus sessions once or twice during each semester The N412 clinical is one day a week for the semester. Students are in clinical 8-5pm on either a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday Clinical sites are within the University’s service area of Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Marin, Lake, or Mendocino counties.

9 What is the cost of tuition?
The costs listed here are estimates, fee’s are subject to change First Summer 4 units $1700 Second Summer 4 units $1700 Fall Full time 8-12 units $3862 Spring Full time 8-12 units $3862 Total $11,124 Enrollment Fees Disclaimer:  Fees shown are estimated based on projected amounts (as of 8/28/17), however, are subject to change per university policy.  The enrollment fees are included here for reference only.   Second baccalaureate students pay higher fee ($4579) per semester after the Summer Nurs 313 course and do not need UDGE courses. Additional costs not included above are: application fees, Certified Background, text books, computer with current software, internet access and travel to and from university and clinical site. *UDGE enrollment in winter intersession and summer terms can alter the costs.

11 What can I do to improve my chances of admission?
complete all SSU GE transfer requirements have only 24 units of Upper Division Nursing and 6 units of Upper Division GE remaining to complete for the BSN degree in good standing in your ADN program Meet both Sonoma State University and Nursing Department Admission Criteria   overall GPA 3.0 or higher Appropriate and authentic response to the short essay question complete and submit application before deadline

12 Look at your ADN- SSU Roadmap
All lower division GE transfer courses and your Statistics course must be completed before starting full time enrollment in fall
