Tuck Everlasting  Book written by: Natalie Babbitt 
Power Point done by: Jackie Allison 

At the Beginning… Winnie is at home, sitting by the gate and talking to the toad. She decides to sneak out and she did. She found Jesse by the spring and saw him drink some water. She wanted some but Jesse told her no. Mae and Miles came and kidnapped Winnie. Took her to their home and told her everything about the spring…

 Winnie Foster  Winnie is an Eleven year old girl who lives in Tree Gap Forest or the wood. In the small cottage with the family that owns the Wood. She was always by herself, no friends and had nothing to do behind that fence gate. She met a toad and the toad was the only creature that would listen to her.

 Grandmother, Mother and Father 
The grandmother, mother and father are the parents of Winnie. When Winnie was kidnapped that man in the yellow suit knew where she was, all he wanted was the wood. A good trade? A bad trade? It’s not my opinion anymore. It’s up to you.

The man in yellow Suit 
What is up with this guy? He appears out of no where, wants the wood as a trade for Winnie and tries to take Winnie against her will! No so friendly is he? The only reason he wants the wood because he wants the spring water, to sell for profits and use Winnie as a test subject to show everyone. But Mae killed him.

 Jesse and Miles Tuck  Jesse was seventeen when he drank the spring water. He didn’t know what it could do until he fell out of a tree and landed on his neck or his head. He was just fine after that. Jesse soon feel in love with Winnie and he said “When you turn seventeen, drink that water, I want to be with you forever”, or something like that. Jesse gave Winnie a bottle with the spring water. Miles is Jesse’s older brother. Miles didn’t know about the water at first. But his wife suspected something when he looked the same all the time. He drank the water and his kids were about the same age as him now. His wife left him and took the kids with her. Miles lives with Jesse and everyone else in the family.

In the Middle (sort of) After Winnie was kidnapped and taken to the Tucks’ home, they told her everything. The man in the yellow suit may over heard them talking and went to the Fosters’ home and told them that he knew where Winnie was. The Fosters and the man in the yellow suit made a trade, the wood for Winnie.

Middle (part 2) The man in the yellow suit and the Constable rode horses to the Tucks house. The man in the yellow suit went ahead and found Winnie. The man in the yellow suit took Winnie but she didn’t want to go. Mae snapped and grabbed Angus’s old shot gun and struck the man in the yellow suit in the head. He was dead not long after and Mae was sent to the jail house or prison.

The Toad The Toad is Winnie’s only friend. The toad will stand by the gate almost everyday, Winnie will walk outside and talk to him. I don’t think that the toad understands Winnie very much but enjoys the company that she give him.

 The Constable  He seems like a fat, lazy man. Gee…How did he become a constable if he’s so fat and kind of lazy? Oh well, there are a lot of people that can get certain jobs and be lazy or not that great at it.

 Mae Tuck  Mae Tuck is Angus Tuck’s wife. Mae kidnapped Winnie because Winnie found out about the water. Mae took her to the house (that the Tucks’ lived in) and told her everything. But when the man in the yellow suit tried to take Winnie away Mae struck him in the head and he died. Winnie was taken home and Mae went to jail for murder.

 Angus Tuck  Not much to say about Angus. He has a hard life, he seems depressed and doesn’t seem happy very much anymore… Angus is married to Mae. He is the father of Jesse and Miles Tuck.

At the end… Mae and Angus return to Tree Gap after fifty years. The saw that the forest was gone and so was Winnie’s cottage. Winnie was dead, they saw her grave in the Cemetery…
