8. Workflow
Users can be assigned various roles, i.e. publisher, editor and admin.

Users assigned the editor role will have an extra listing of articles ready for approval.

With this solution, employees, customers and suppliers can be assigned different roles on each segment. This gives them different access levels, maybe publisher for the Internet segment but editor for the intranet segment. Suppliers can then be allowed to maintain their own information on an extranet segment.
All segments can share content from each other, but access privileges can be applied as necessary. There is no limit on number of segments. For large companies each department (i.e. sales, marketing, R&D) might have their own segment under the intranet segment.
