3. Welcome. This package explains your tour. It consists of three parts.
1-A fun trip through four Linn County cemeteries- Buffalo, Lafayette, Shiloh and Cedar Memorial. 44 relatives in generations 1, 2 and 3 noted as *,** or *** with cemetery maps and gravesite locations as listed. If you download the BillionGraves app to your smart phone it will literally walk you to within 25 yards or so of the sites at each cemetery. At the Buffalo Cemetery you may make a gravestone rubbing with materials provided. At 2:30 at the Buffalo Cemetery George Schrimper will provide a discussion of land form geology as it pertains to the original Quaas farmstead.
2-Locate Gottfried and Mary’s original cabin site and farmstead site with the included maps.
3-Tour the Granger House Museum in Marion, a restored brick middle class home from Open from 11-4.
