Answer:
Built without the use of dynamite or modern tools and they are still standing.
Powered by gravity and therefore needed exact angles to allow water to flow

They were a professional army that drilled battle tactics constantly. They carried a shield, sword, and javelin. They would kill 80,000 in Britain.

Allowed for rapid deployment of army to anywhere in the empire. They connected all of the cities within the empire. They could then design all the cities in Europe like Rome.

Answer:
Mass entertainment for Free! IT was the reality tv of the day. Gladiators were like celebrities.

Question 9: What significance did trade with the eastern world (China) have on the Roman culture and ancient society as a whole? 
Answer:
The Romans can get exotic goods from China like silk. They would spend $2.2 million per year trading with China. Globalization at its finest!

14. Roman Contributions Poster
You will be working in pairs to design a poster that will be an advertisement trying to prove to people that Romans build the BEST cities.
You will use the sheet, “What Have the Romans Done for Us?” to guide your thoughts and ideas.
You must showcase at least one innovation created by the Romans for each of the Key Areas: Literature, Architecture, Art, and Language. There are some suggestions of great innovations by the Romans on the left side of the blue paper.
Include one explanatory sentence for each innovation.
Make it pretty and colorful! You want to sell Rome as the model civilization, and the Romans as the best city designers EVER!! 
