5 Energy Pyramid

6 The rabbit is the prey, and the fox is the predator, so they have a predator-prey relationship. The rabbit population decreases, because the fox population ate the rabbit population. If there aren’t enough rabbits, than the fox population would decrease. If the fox population doesn’t eat the rabbit population, than the rabbits would become overpopulated.

7 The greater Horseshoe Bat
Endangered Animals Bald Eagle Scientific Name: Haliaeetus leucocephalus Are endangered because of deforestation, houses and buildings are built, and the food they eat is poisoned. Habitat: Nests in tall pine trees Limiting Factors: Deforestation, lack of food, Hunters Carrying Capacity: About 4,500 Things that are being done to save the eagles are the outlaw of certain pesticides and better law enforcements on poaching. Niche: They eat smaller, weaker, or injured animals of the ecosystem. They also are at the top of the food chain, and they are birds of prey. Appearance: Covered in large feathers that are light and dark. They have sharp claws and a curved and pointed beak. The wing span is five and a half to eight foot. The eagle has been endangered for about 39 years. The greater Horseshoe Bat Scientific Name: Rhinollphus ferrumequinm Habitat: in caves by scrub and open trees They are endangered because of deforestation and buildings are being built in and around their habitats. Limiting Factors: Deforestation, Lack of food and water, chemicals Carrying capacity: 4,000 Things that are being done to save the bat population: Grazing pastures shouldn’t be used for crops, important habitats should be preserved, and hedges and other trees should not be constantly trimmed. Niche: Eat smaller organisms like bugs and other insects that can harm people. Appearance: Dorsal fur is rough with dark tips, a flap of skin around nostrils, body mm. It has been endangered for: about 14 years
