5. OUTWARD REMITTANCES (SEND MONEY ABROAD)
Outward Remittances: Customer can send remittances overseas to their relatives or friends in major currencies through SWIFT transfer facility. It is one of the safest and most convenient ways to send money abroad.
The purposes for which Outward Remittance can be used are :
University fees for students travelling abroad for studies
Application fees for education abroad
Living expenses for students studying abroad
Maintenance of close relatives abroad
Tour Remittances

8. Education abroad ... Documentation
Request cum FEMA Declaration form for release of exchange by filling the relevant portion as per the type of remittance.
Photocopy of the passport having valid visa in case the remittance is for employment, education abroad, and medical treatment and for permanent emigration.
A - 2 form (Only for the amounts exceeding USD equivalent.)
For application fees in case of foreign education or processing fees for immigration, valid visa is not required.

EDUCATION PURPOSE REMITTANCE
After sending RTGS to pool account, fill up the Form A2 , Application forms. The following details need to be collected from the customer

After getting the forms filled , get the scan copy of the Form A2, Application form, University Offer letter & the valid Passport copy & mail the same to
The treasury team will confirm the funds with the bank and process the transaction.
The TT copy is the confirmation of the remittance which would be send to the branch , the next day before 11.am.

Resident Indians can remit to their close relative who are Non resident and require funds abroad for their maintenance.

If the purpose is EDUCATION, enquire about the Foreign University offer letter , Valid Passport.

Enquire about the funds which is deposited in the remitter bank. The funds should be in the account of the remitter SB account only. The RTGS to our pool account should be from a SB account only.
