3 Corporate governance Corporate governance is a system of relationships between the Bank's management bodies (General Meeting, The Board of the Bank, the Management Board and the Bank's Committees) which acts as a mechanism for determining the goals and objectives of the Bank and monitoring of their achievement and performance. 4 Strategic goals The bank's strategic goal is to achieve the leading positions among medium-sized banks in Uzbekistan, to firm up as a universal bank with stable competitive positions. In order to fully achieve the strategic goal, the reporting period for the realization of which is assigned to , the Bank ensures the achievement of complementary key objectives: - Assuring the positive dynamics of the Bank's market position and fixing it to the level: the leading position among medium-sized banks in terms of range activity; leading positions in performance indicators. - Attraction of direct foreign investments into the share capital of the Bank with a share of foreign investors at the minimum proportion of 25%. - Formation of the necessary regulatory framework for effective functioning of the corporate governance system and orderly assuming of relevant measures for its practical implementation. - Introduction and development of methods of modern marketing and PR - formation of the bank's image, public relations systems, marketing strategies in compliance with the Bank's strategic goals. - Reasonable application of the cost-cutting strategy in relation to the level of services quality. - Increase in the resource base by expanding the structure and funding tools, as well as attracting resource- intensive customers. - Improvement of the Bank's management by involving highly qualified banking professionals, as well as training the Bank's management in modern management technologies. - Improvement of risk assessment and management systems, internal audit and internal control. - Further improvement of the methods of work with the personnel - teamwork, corporate culture, motivation, middle management training. 7
