2 The Definition of Bullying:
Bullying is verbal, physical or psychological abuse or teasing accompanied by real or perceived imbalance of power.

3 There are three types of bullying:
Verbal bullying is saying or writing mean things Social bullying, sometimes referred to as relational bullying, involves hurting someone’s reputation or relationships. Physical bullying involves hurting a person’s body or possessions.

6 Where and When Bullying Happens
Bullying can occur during or after school hours. While most reported bullying happens in the school building, a significant percentage also happens in places like on the playground or the bus. It can also happen travelling to or from school, in the youth’s neighborhood, or on the Internet.

7 What is Cyberbullying Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place using electronic technology. Electronic technology includes devices and equipment such as cell phones, computers, and tablets as well as communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites. Examples of cyberbullying include mean text messages or s, rumors sent by or posted on social networking sites, and embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, or fake profiles.

8 Common Reasons of Bullying:
Students report the most common reasons for bullying are: Being overweight Not dressing “right” Perceiving someone as “gay” Looking “different” Acting “weird”

9 Bullying: Why do they do it?
Bullies tend to be victims themselves. They are hurt They are insecure They are lonely They are trying to hide something They want to feel “in control” They want to be popular or “cool” in the eyes of other kids.

10 Where do I go when I'm Bullied?
Adult- Speak to an adult about the situation that is taking place. Teacher- Your teacher will make a report and address the issue Guidance Counselor- The guidance office is a safe zone to talk Principle- The Principle will make a report and speak to the bully Police Doctor….. Always speak to someone you know and trust
