3. Carlos Santiesteban Montero was born in Guadalajara in 1927 .
Son of the painter Carlos Santiesteban Valh (died 1932) and Francisca Montero.
His mother always supported him in his dream of being an artist .

5. It is self-taught , until as free student enrolls in the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando ( Madrid).

6. His move to Madrid puts you in contact with several artists of the time in the field of the show and dance.
He began his career as a costume designer ( both for plays and ballet) .

7. Foremost among his collaborations that carried out in 1955 for the company of Antonio Ruiz Soler dance , better known as Antonio ' The Dancer "( dancer, flamenco dancer , choreographer and showman ) .

8. In the decade of the 50s the Hilton Hotel in Madrid organizes a pictorial exhibition of his work, consisting of about 20 paintings of Andalusian inspiration, especially colorful figures on black background.

18. With great success and international recognition in 1973 he returned to Guadalajara to inaugurate the restored Palacio del Infantado with an interesting exhibition on Heralds , ladies and alcarreños landscapes, with resounding success .
