Before reading: Find some cognates in the text.-des fruits, le sport, t’entrainer, l’exercise, le gymnase, tonifier les muscles, l’aerobic, le rythme cardiaque. ** Also the word raplapla means wiped out, flat; l’eau minérale plate means non-carbonated mineral water; un plateau is a flat tray.

3) Est-ce qu’il fait de l’exercise? 4) Qui lui donne de conseils? 5) Qui lui donne trop des conseils? Note culturelle: The French generally eat fruits and vegetables at both lunch and diner…even busy working families do buy and prepare fresh produce

6 Expressing concern for someone; complaining
To express concern for someone: Quelque chose ne va pas? is something wrong? Qu’est-ce que tu as? What’s wrong? Tu n’as pas l’air en forme. You don’t look well To complain: Je ne suis pas bien. I don’t feel well. Je suis tout(e) raplapla. I’m wiped out. J’ai mal dormi. I didn’t sleep well. J’ai mal partout! I hurt all over!
