2 Women & Girls Club Survey
A reminder that if you have not completed the Women & Girls club survey you have until Monday 2nd January to complete. Reminder that no response = no support One person per club per section to complete c2f2c41

3 Girls Hubs We have 8 hubs running around the County for girls only from 8-15 years old. 6 hubs, Falmer, Crowborough, Bexhill, Shoreham, Midhurst & Crawley are stand alone hubs & not linking with clubs. These are to engage more girls into cricket who do not play for clubs. 2 hubs, Chichester & Lewes are linking with clubs in their areas.

4 2017 Summer Leagues & Comps Under 11 Softball League
Under 11 Lady Taverners One Day Festival Under 13 Hardball League Under 13 Lady Taverners Softball Festival Under 15 8 a side League Under over 11 a side League Under 15 Festival Week in August Women’s T20 8 a side Hardball League Women’s T20 Development Cup or League Women’s Softball “Powerplay” Festivals ECB U13 & U15 T20 Competitions

5 Under 11 Softball League 8 a side pairs cricket One league
Festival days which clubs will host 3 or 4 teams in one day so teams play 2 or 3 matches in one day. Festival dates will hopefully allow more matches to be played if at least one team drops out. Bonus points for teams who struggle to get 8 players out, but bring fewer players so games can be played

6 Under 13 Hardball League 8 a side
First half of the season pairs cricket, second half T20 proper cricket One league Festival days which clubs will host 3 or 4 teams in one day so teams play 2 or 3 matches in one day. Festival dates will hopefully allow more matches to be played if at least one team drops out. Bonus points for teams who struggle to get 8 players out, but bring fewer players so games can be played

7 U11 & U13 Lady Taverners Festivals
Under 11 Festival will be held on Sunday 14th May (avoided County under 11 fixtures) Under 13 Festival will be held on Sunday 18th June (avoided County under 12 & under 13 fixtures) All Lady Taverners festivals will be 8 a side and softball Venues to be confirmed

8 Under 15 T20 League 8 a side Hardball League 20 overs per side
One league Festival days which clubs will host 3 or 4 teams in one day so teams play 2 or 3 matches in one day. 9 Under 15 35 over League 11 a side One league Hardball
Matches to be played on Weekends or during school holidays Bonus points for teams who struggle to get 11 players out, but bring fewer players so games can be played

10 Under 15 Festival Week New to 2017
Expression of interest required before fully confirming will happen Held over one week in August There would be an entry fee for the festival week if it was to occur to cover costs of food, pitch and umpires.

11 Women’s T20 8 A side League 8 a Side Twenty overs
4 leagues (depending on numbers) local Semi Finals Finals Day Played either during weekends or weekdays

12 Women’s 11 a side Development
Twenty overs Only open to clubs who are not in the Southern league or Premier league Depending on numbers could be a knockout cup or two small groups playing each other once then having a finals day.

13 Women’s Powerplay Softball Festivals
New to 2017 New format for women only Softball playing either 6 or 8 a side 4 festival days around the county (dates TBC) Trying to engage NEW clubs and Women who are NEW to cricket. Non competitive No strict cricket rules – keeping FUN

14 ECB U13 & U15 T20 Competition Run by the ECB
Entry through the ECB (attached forms on s) Regional matches National finals day Entry by Friday 24th February 2017 ECB organise fixtures and dates

15 Volunteers We understand that some fixtures were cancelled last year due to volunteers unavailability We are looking to hold a FREE activators course for parents/volunteers who run/umpire a girls team 2 people per team per club can attend Will be a day event (TBC)

16 New for 2017 We have created our own Women & Girls club play cricket site today (so please give us time to put everything on) This will be where all the Women & Girls fixtures would be held We are looking to hold a Women & Girls club presentation day/evening at the end of season.
