The first findings were reported at CAPSA2015.
An international synthesis of MLS tests presented at the recent 11th CAPSA in South Africa, It may be used as need be, subject to recognition of the paper being accepted and published by CAPSA Permission granted to copy paper
The study is continuing with the remaining extracted slabs from the field.
A paper was submitted to APT2016 for findings.

11. South Africa – MLS11
In the South African National Standard SANS series of Civil engineering test methods SANS 3001-PD1:2015 Edition 1 Determination of permanent deformation and moisture sensitivity in asphalt mixes with the MMLS3 is currently under final editorial review for publication.
Individuals and entities related to the pavement industry (consultants, contractors, asphalt suppliers, highway and airport agencies and authorities) are using the proposed guidelines for all major highway asphalt pavements.

12. South Africa – cont
In South Africa there are currently two commercial laboratories and a research laboratory at Stellenbosch University using the MMLS3.
Details of the MMLS3 lab testing in SA for construction are contained in Tables 1.
