4 Hong Kong 2013 data: 10% of total apps, 25% of the class
2015 data: 9% of the class Less costly than North America IB Diploma preferred TOEFL exams required for non-native English speakers One recommendation – usually counselor, with input from teachers Apply to faculty by program – 4 year degree as of 2012

5 Hong Kong Provide 3 choices for program – be sure to research choices
Deadlines vary for HK residents, Taiwanese, & international students Applications must be completed within 1 month of starting and application period begins in mid-September to early October Admission decisions are made by faculty – not centralized All offers are CONDITIONAL -- need to wait for final IB grades scores in July

8 Other countries Each year students apply to other universities in Asia in Korea, Singapore, Philippines and Japan. Students applying to these countries and other national systems (Europe, India, Mexico, etc. ) must be familiar with deadlines and procedures.
