1 Corporate Overview February 2016

2 Company at a Glance One mission since 2001: Using technology to defeat ignorance-based loss Pioneering provider of enterprise situational awareness Expertise in computer-telephony integration (CTI) Customized solutions for maximum performance and minimal maintenance

3 How We Define Situational Awareness
Knowledge of immediate threats and operational status Central to risk management Technology framework for any organization Originally a military term referring to a pilot’s status. SA is now a risk management strategy and technology framework any organization can implement: K-12 Higher Education Acute Care Senior Living Government Hospitality Manufacturing Retail According to global market research firm MarketsandMarkets, the situational awareness market is projected to be worth more than $168 billion by (partner message)

4 What Situational Awareness Does
Core competency is the integration and automation of these functions.

5 The Power of Situational Awareness
If you can read, hear and see what’s happening and where, you can do something about it. Then analyze response times and other protocols to resolve problems/make continuous improvements.

6 Situational Awareness Applications
So integration and automation through situational awareness technology takes a facility from reactionary and siloed to strategic and holistic in terms of emergency communication and response.

7 Situational Awareness Prevents …
The goal of situational awareness and our mission and cause as a company. We want to make a difference … Return on relevance: Quicker response times Early intervention More accurate asset tracking (people and property) Effective tamper-proofing Enhanced, local alerting and redundancy Improved communication and service delivery More efficient business processes/workflow Lower administrative costs New revenue

8 Single Alerting Platform
Integrated alarm management for all life safety, security and environmental monitoring systems Automated, real-time alerts for emergency communications plus general announcements, courtesy reminders and other content Modes and actions control alerting protocols, including escalations (i.e., if this, then that ) Uses any screen/communication device Complements/operationalizes emergency/crisis plans Information about an unfolding situation – from the mundane blown fuse to a life-and-death scenario – and how to respond or avoid it Alarms bad, alerts good. SARA converts random alarms into detailed alerts because specificity matters when it comes to the response and having more time to respond. Triggering event passes through Modes & Actions to become an awareness transaction Information about what’s happening, where it’s happening, and what to do about it

9 SARA Architecture Diagram
All about the right combination of networks, devices and software We can use any screen/communication device to deliver a unified situational awareness experience to the appropriate stakeholders: key individuals, select groups or entire populations with redundancy and escalation paths built in.

10 Local, Premise-based Mobile Duress
Wireless pendants summon immediate help SARA’s Positioning System (SPS) provides approximate location data as part of an alert Vector mapping produces the three closest matches to the alarm source Mobile duress is a specialized life safety application that SARA powers. With today’s smarter networks and devices, plus SARA to tie all of them together, it’s easier and more cost-effective than ever to create a safety and security bubble over a single facility, wide-area campus or entire enterprise. Safety & Security Bubble

11 Wide-area Mobile Duress
Small, light-weight pendant on cellular network GPS tracking Advanced fall detection Accelerometer Gyroscope Magnetometer Automatic hands-free, two-way talk Automatic alerting to predefined emergency contacts SARA on Cellular provides wide-area mobile duress with GPS tracking in addition to advanced fall detection and hands-free, two-way talk. If an individual falls or activates the mobile duress button for any reason, SARA on Cellular automatically alerts the predefined emergency contacts (e.g., caregiver, family member, etc.) and simultaneously establishes a voice call. Even if the user is incapacitated, alerts are still generated so help can be summoned quickly. “SARA on Cellular”

12 Eyes on Triggering Events
Video Paging Better understand and respond to unfolding situations Live video from integrated security cameras pushed to desktops and/or mobile devices Also include pre-recorded videos, maps and photos Video paging enables live video to be associated with a triggering event (e.g., alarm from a smoke detector, motion detection, mobile panic button or any third-party system) as preprogrammed through SARA’s modes and actions, using SPS to determine the nearest camera(s). Video pages delivered via desktops always appear regardless of the application in use. Live video feeds require an appropriate network and IP-enabled cameras. Only one video stream can be viewed at a time. Other video streams and/or files can be viewed by clicking on the associated icons (e.g.,. Camera 1, Camera 2, Image 1, Video 1). Eyes on Triggering Events

13 Text Message vs. Video Page
See an unfolding event Plan the response Prioritize staff resources Demonstrates how video paging is an advanced form of situational awareness.

14 Mobile Dashboards for Health Care
Emergency alerting, workflow and collaborative care Preprogrammed iOS-based dashboards plus network Embedded controls Response logging Device supervision Video paging based on triggering event type Seamless situational awareness on the go Make your smartphones even smarter with mobile dashboards to respond to unfolding situations more quickly, initiate alerts and the associated response plans more effectively, and escalate/notify others as necessary – all from one use interface. Making Smartphones Even Smarter

15 Universal Alerting App
Pre-programmed dashboards for one-touch alerting, response and escalation Works on any smartphone on any network For use by any stakeholder Additional dashboards based on customer environment Video paging based on triggering event type A lot of companies and start-ups provide duress alerting but they one-dimensional products, whereas the SARA Universal Alerting App is part of an end-to-end situational awareness solution. Duress alerting is just one application, which is often a good starting point. Wireless Command & Control

16 Communication and Access to Information Everywhere
Self-service Situational awareness doesn’t just pertain to emergency alerting; It also refers to any information an organization needs to manage and share with those it serves. Originally developed to help senior living communities better serve residents by keeping them digitally connected, our self-service solution has evolved … Provides a unified awareness experience via online, mobile and kiosk options Automates content and services to improve communication, workflow and customer satisfaction Features/functionality programmed under endless supply of “easy buttons” Communication and Access to Information Everywhere
