INTEREST - choose subjects you find interesting. If you don’t enjoy some subjects now will you enjoy studying them at a much harder level? ABILITY - choose subjects you are good at & suit your natural talents and skills Check out previous reports, talk to teachers and parents MOTIVATION - choose subjects you are keen to learn about What subjects interest me? This advance information is vital for Year 10 students planning a VCE curriculum and a future tertiary direction. By developing your own sample VCE programs you can: •compare VCE studies with course prerequisites for 2014 or 2015 •compare one VCE program with another •sort tertiary course choices by region, area of interest or institution. youth transitions’ refers to the phase in a young person’s life during which they progress from compulsory schooling to independent adult working life. is a web-based course and information service available on the VTAC website. You can register under student access by entering your address and choosing a 4 digit PIN (normally day and month of birth) and plan a VCE program by selecting from the VCE studies available in a selection box. 14 Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning VCAL
Like the VCE, the VCAL is a recognised senior qualification.
