URBAN TRIBES
2
Urban Tribes are groups who are together because they have interests in common. They live in the city and they have their passions and their heroes. They have a big influence on young people´s fashion, language and habits.
3
The tribes emerged in the second half of the XX century with the crisis of an industrialized, bureaucratic and individualistic modernity, which was giving rise to a claim of human, physical contact and, above all, a new image of youth. We called urban tribes to youth groups and adolescents who use a strikingly similar aspect and their common habits become visible, especially in big cities. People see a new way of expression, a way to get away from the normality that does not satisfy them and, above all, the chance to enhance their personal experiences. IMPROVE IMPROVE
