(1 Samuel 7:1-4) And the men of Kiriath-jearim came and took the ark of the Lord and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill, and consecrated Eleazar his son to keep the ark of theLord. 2 From the day that the ark remained at Kiriath-jearim, the time was long, for it was twenty years; and all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord.
3 Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to the Lord with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your hearts to the Lord and serve Him alone; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.” 4 So the sons of Israel removed the Baals and the Ashtaroth and served theLord alone.

1) The Lord is in charge of the timetable of your life 2) God’s time is not our time 3) God is working in our lives even when we think nothing is happening 4) Great discoveries of “truth” by us are usually preceded by a great openness on our part (“He that hath an ear to hear …”) 5) There’s a time to speak and a time to shut up 6) What do we need to hear from the Lord today?

A) Return to the Lord with all your heart B) Remove the foreign Gods from your life C) Direct your heart to the Lord D) Serve Him alone Then… He will deliver you!
