1 Why Are Trees Important ?
By Ali and Sarah

2 Hello we are writing about why trees are important
Hello we are writing about why trees are important. There are a lot of trees in the world so we should be protecting them not cutting them down. We wouldn’t be alive if there was no trees because trees really keep us people alive. So we should be minding them!!!

3 Why Are Trees Important ?
Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilize the soil provide us with the materials for tools and shelter. Trees combat climate change. Trees cool the streets and the city. As you can see trees are very important. .

5 Benefits Of Trees Trees combat the greenhouse effect.
Trees conserve energy. Trees help prevent water pollution. Trees shield children for ultra-violent rays. Trees prevent landslides.

6 Why Are Trees Important To Animals ?
Burrowing animals like living under trees. The roots prevent the ground collapsing and also soak up moisture, making the burrow drier. A mature oak trees can produce 50,000 acorns in one year. Most are eaten by animals, or fall where they cant grow. Trees give home and shelter to birds. They also give food. Trees also keep birds and animals alive too.

7 WHY ARE TREES GREEN? Plants (everything from tiny algae in the oceans to trees) have green parts (or in some cases are completely green). This is because they contain a green pigment called chlorophyll which is necessary for the plants to make food for themselves using light energy and carbon dioxide (a gas in the air) and water

8 What can we eat from a tree ?
All broadleaved trees produce pollen but not all have a hard nut like the acorn. Many coat their seed in a fleshy fruit which attracts animals who help to disperse the seed. Most fruits, like apples and oranges, were originally much smaller but have been enlarged by centuries of selective breeding. FRUIT AND NUTS FROM A TREE !!!

9 1.Well-maintained trees and shrubs can increase property value by up to 14%.
2.Trees properly placed around buildings can reduce air conditioning needs by 30%. 3.A mature tree removes almost 70 times more pollution than a newly planted tree. 4.A healthy tree can have a value of up to $10,000. 5.One tree can absorb as much carbon in a year as a car produces while driving 26,000 miles.

10 Trees are like living people
Like all living things trees have a life cycle: Birth Growth Aging Death As trees grow, their physical form changes as does their role in the forest ecosystem

11 Conclusion I hope you enjoyed !!!!!!!!!
