Servant-Leader is servant first Starts with the feeling that one wants to serve first Then makes a conscious effort to lead Difference shows in the care taken by a servant Makes sure other people’s highest priority needs are being met The check: Do those served grow as persons? Do they become healthier, wiser, freer? Are they more likely to become servants?

10 A Path Forward-As a Manager who feels an obligation for the future, here are some things I can do:
Give my best attention to the young people entering the business Give people responsibility and help them assume responsibility for their own growth Give research opportunities to those who show promise Give a person challenge and opportunity in his or her work Give the opportunity for advancement to those who give indications of basic growth
