Rhode island was a very successful colony. After it was a colony, it became an official state of the United States. Rhode Island was established in When was Rhode Island established?

Rhode island was established because it was banished from the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The founder guaranteed religious and political freedom. Religious refugees from the Massachusetts Bay Colony settled here Rhode Island. Rhode Island was established by Roger Williams. Who established Rhode Island?

4 What did Rhode Island produce to export and make money?
Rhode island took part in ship building and the manufacture of rum. There was also production and export of fish, whale products, timber products, furs, maple syrup, copper, livestock products, horses, rum, whiskey and beer. Rhode Island was a safe place for religious settlers. It was primarily Baptists, Quakers, Jews and other religious minorities. Who made up the colonists?

The Geography was flat rolling hills and lowlands. It also consisted of hills thick with trees, rivers and poor rocky soil that was difficult to farm and unsuitable for crops. The climate was mild and short summers leading to long, cold winters. Roger Williams wanted to escape the religious separation in Colonial America. Foods that Rhode Island made/consumed included gingerbread, dutch apple dumplings, and shepherds pie, apple tansey, fish muddle, peanut soup, and pumpkin gnocci. Seafood was also popular food.
