AP Lang and AP Lit fulfill all four semesters of English Language Arts requirements for 11th/12th grade Some things count in more than one area – you have to choose Some classes can be taken twice – others can not When a category is full, the credit becomes an elective

Hybrid courses are part time face to face and part time online Online courses are completely online with no face to face time These courses are a part of the regular schedule (12 classes for the year) and can not be taken as an ‘extra’

Online and hybrid courses are not the right fit for every student Students who choose an online or hybrid should select a course in an area of strength or high interest Online or hybrid course grades become part of the official transcript

Do I meet the profile of a successful online/hybrid student? Will I have the technology required for online/hybrid learning? Do I have the necessary technology skills needed to learn in an online environment? Can I create and modify a Google Document? Do I know how to submit an assignment in your Learning Management System (ie: Schoology)? Do I know how to use your LMS to keep track of announcements, course requirements and feedback?

34 PE/Health Summer Classes
PE and Health will be available this summer to students who are on track for graduation (enrichment opportunity).  It is $350.00/course and run 8 weeks in the summer.  There is an onsite requirement for heath to complete the CPR portion and for students to pick up their heart rate monitors for PE. 36 Honors vs. Advanced Placement (AP)
AP Prep Summer Academy AP Prep Summer Academy focuses on: higher-level reading and vocabulary skills writing different types of AP* essays study skills such as note-taking and ways to increase retention test-taking strategies The course is taught by experienced Lakeville AP Social Studies teachers at Lakeville North High School. Registration forms will be available after spring break from your Social Studies teachers. Please note that this is NOT a requirement or prerequisite for the AP courses. Honors vs. Advanced Placement (AP) Lakeville Public Schools offers an AP* Prep summer course designed to prepare students at all grade levels for their first AP* experience by providing them with training and practice in the high-level academic skills needed to succeed in social studies AP* classes.  The sessions will most likely be 1-2 weeks in length depending on the hours.  Also, we are working to determine whether or not we need to charge a nominal fee (which of course would be waived for families in need).
