4 Managed by the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) Foundation, Heroes Hockey Challenge is a series of charitable hockey fundraising events which take place annually in Canadian communities. Conceived in 2010 by Mr. Glenn Cumyn and refined by the original partners, Heroes Hockey Challenge (HHC) is a vehicle to shine the spotlight on some of this nation's greatest heroes for the benefit of Canada's unsung heroes. Heroes Hockey Challenge events were held in Calgary and Vancouver in 2012 and in Abbotsford in 2013 and Toronto in 2015 and raised more than $200,000 for the benefit of wounded soldiers and their families, and the families of the fallen soldiers. HHC normally partners with local charitable organizations like Military Family Resource Centres or national programs that provide services for former members of the armed forces and their families.
