1 Subject Specific Interventions
English Lunch time and Tuesday afternoon revision sessions Free revision guides for Literature provided to each student Free revision guides for Language provided to each student MA and ABD lunch time targeted revision Organised whole-school study skills sessions Theatre trip to support understanding of the Literature texts Frequent mock exam practice and feedback (all papers covered by end of Easter term) Calendar of assessment to track progress across the cohort EXAMPRO website to input data and match with National expectations (work in progress)! Easter revision sessions Maths Lunch time revision Every Monday revision after school for an hour. Half term revision. Every other week Practice test in the sports hall, papers marked, feedback given and correction done by students. Targeted students get support in class from PP tutors and TAs. Sent Mock 1 marks to Edexcel for analysis to compare the performance of your students with the rest of the country. Result expected first week of Feb. Revision and Workbooks + Maths watch CDs available from SM for purchase. Continued Past papers practice given to students in class /HW. History   ‘Open house’ at lunch time in S54/s55/s58  for yr 11s to work independently- or for support Revision guides for students Frequent exam practice in class with feedback Offer to mark any test that pupils want to revisit/ past papers done independently After school targeted revision (after half term and where yr 11 schedule allows) List of websites to support revision Mock exam after Cold War unit Whole cohort  study sessions before exams Easter revision session Citizenship Lunchtime and after school support to complete course work. Course work & controlled assessment support  materials with A* examples available for all students on Google Classroom. Past papers with marking schemes available on google classroom. GCSE study guides available from  department. Self- assessment checklist with next steps required for each student.

Hospitality: One-to-one class support, HW set up to enhance coursework, after school 2 hour pre-practical exam prep (most students completed practical exam now. Textiles: One-to-one class support (TA for Ayzah), HW set up to enhance coursework SEN KS3 Pass – Alterative curriculum Ks4 PASS- Alternative curriculum Small groups- e.g. self esteem/selective mutism Referrals to outside agencies Parental meetings Personal Care RML TA/HLTA in class Support SEN Profiles and SEN register Medical profiles, Care plans and Medical register Dyslexia support Lunch Time Clubs Break Time supervision Access arrangements Bug Club reading programme Modern Foreign Languages Additional controlled assessments (speaking and/or writing) offered. On completion of the final CAs in January, overall marks and grades for the speaking and writing components are calculated and additional tasks are offered, in order to improve the overall grade and prediction. Second-round of mock exams. An additional round of listening and reading mock exams is planned for the start of March; this could help improve the TA4 grade. Lunchtime listening/reading exam skills booster sessions. To be run every week, alternating between listening and reading; start date to be announced. Additional listening or reading practice homework to improve exam performance.
