The crisis line counselors can also help connect people with NH Regional Access Points (RAPS). If a caller needs these services and would like to be transferred, crisis counselors can directly transfer the caller to RAPS.

7 Nashua Safe Stations November 17, Nashua NH put into place a safe station program. Anyone, anytime, who wants help with substance use, can walk into a Nashua fire station for assistance. This person will then be assessed medically by AMR and either brought to the ED (for medical concerns) or be medically cleared and brought to a designated shelter to be connected with a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), who will assess the individual and determine the appropriate next steps that this person needs. Crisis Line’s role with safe station: Each person who comes into safe station seeking help is connected with the LADC through the crisis line. Once the individual is safely at the shelter, staff contacts the crisis line to initiate the on call LADC, who then speaks with and assesses the individual seeking help.
