2 Introductions RK RC Miss E Keeler Mrs M Chapman
Mrs K Allen Mrs H O’Rourke 1:1 Support – Mrs Ranjana Our day starts at 08:55am. If you arrive after 09:00am you will need to sign in at the school office. We will start to release children back to you from 3:10pm to enable parents who need to collect older siblings ample time to collect them.

3 What your child will need.
PE PE lessons will take place on a Tuesday afternoon. Full PE kit will be required – coloured team top, black shorts / jogging bottoms and black pumps. All items to be NAMED please. Please encourage your child to dress independently at home to enable them to change during our PE lessons.

4 Water Bottles. Please ensure that your child brings in a named water bottle to school every day. Water bottles should only be filled with water. Juice / squash is not permitted due to our healthy schools ethos.

5 Book Bags Please send your child into school with their Seabridge book bag every day. Please leave your child’s red home school link book in their bag as we will use these to communicate with yourselves, for sharing letters and recording your child’s reading in school. Creative homework tasks will be sent home every half term. These are optional and will be celebrated in class, if they are brought into school.

6 Reading Please use the home school links book to record any reading that your child does with you at home. Reading books will be changed at the end of each week and vocabulary bookmarks will be sent home as your child continues to progress with their reading. You can find phase 2 and 3 sounds in the front of your home school link book and high frequency words in the back.

7 Phonics Programme. At Seabridge we follow the Jolly Phonics programme.
You can support your child with their reading and writing by reinforcing their learning of the sounds / phonemes at home. Jolly Phonics app available on iTunes and Google Play as a free download.

8 Topics Our current topic is ‘All about Me’. This will support us in getting to know your child and will allow them to discuss areas that are specifically relevant to their daily life. We will be covering various topics throughout the year based on children’s interests. Please do let us know if you have any specific knowledge linked to our topics as we welcome visitors to our school to support children’s continued learning and development.

9 Outdoor Learning Children will access our outdoor area as part of their learning within the Early Years curriculum. This includes a garden and muddy area and therefore, your child will require wellies and waterproof / protective clothing. We apologise in advance if your child comes home with mud or other remnants of messy play on their uniform but this is all part of their learning journey.

10 Toileting. Please ensure that your child has a spare set of clothes which can be left in school should they require them. If your child has a toileting accident we will send wet clothes home in a carrier bag. If your child has soiled themselves our policy is to dispose of their underwear, unless you have advised us that you wish for them to be returned.
