1 ATLANTIC CAUCASUS TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES INITIATIVE FOR VALUABLE EDUCATION Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Lot 5

2 The Erasmus Mundus Action II is a co-operation and mobility scheme in the area of higher education co-operation launched by Europe Aid cooperation Office and implemented by the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA). The Erasmus Mundus Action II program provides support to: higher education institutions to set-up inter-institutional cooperation partnerships between universities from European Union and targeted Third-Countries; individual students, researchers and university staff who wish to spend a study / research / teaching period in the context of one of the above mentioned joint programs or cooperation partnerships.

3 The specific objectives of Erasmus Mundus Partnerships (Action 2) are:
To contribute to the mutual enrichment of societies by developing the qualifications of men and woman so that they possess appropriate skills, particularly as regards the labor market, and are open-minded and internationally experienced To promote mobility both for students, researchers and academics from third countries, especially from vulnerable groups, selected on the basis of academic excellence, to obtain qualifications and/or experience in the European Union To contribute towards the development of human resources and the international co-operation capacity of higher education institutions in third countries through increased mobility streams between the EU and third countries in accordance with the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.

4 programme The ACTIVE programme can be considered as an element of common European collaboration and partnership of European Union and South-East Europe Universities. Project was selected under Erasmus Mundus Action II, which manages a scholarship programme funded by the European Commission. The ACTIVE program is focused on ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY fields of study. 06 Engineering, Technology; 11 Mathematics, Informatics;13 Natural Science The programme objective is to promote and transfer the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills at higher education level. The ACTIVE programme offerred student and staff scholarships to nationals of European Union, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova or Ukraine. The project provides mobility scholarships for students and staff from South-East Europe to European Union partner universities.
